Test of UVic Emergency Alerts Nov. 19

The second campus-wide test of UVic Emergency Alerts will take place Wednesday, November 19. This new system allows the university to contact students and employees with important information during an emergency. Please visit the website www.uvic.ca/alerts to complete a short post-test survey and find out how to register your mobile phone to receive emergency messages.

For the second year in a row, the University of Victoria has been named the top comprehensive university in Canada in the annual university rankings by Maclean’s magazine, this time tied with Vancouver’s Simon Fraser University. Across the 13 performance measures used by Maclean’s, UVic ranked particularly highly on faculty awards, medical science grants, research activity, scholarships and bursaries for students, and the library.
